foster children win big at tag the world charity triathlon
Participants cross the finish line at last month's XTERRA WETSUITS sponsored Tag the World Charity Triathlon in Waikiki, Hawaii. Tag the World raises money for "It Takes An Ohana" - an organization that raises funds and awareness for local foster youth. Over 30 foster youth were paired with a celebrity and a triathlete... as part of VIP teams. Learn more at:

Since 1971, "It Takes An Ohana" has made a difference in the lives of thousands of children in Hawaii by offering resources and information to those in the community concerned with protecting the interests of children and youth in out-of-home care, while providing responsible advocacy.

limes are green, is limestone green too?
There are those people out there that have made it their quest to raise money and awareness for eco-friendly causes. One of those people is Jon Alexander, a triathlete who is using his love of racing to raise money for the Wilderness Foundation. The Wilderness Foundation is a small charity which helps engender respect for the importance of wild places. Jon will be attempting to complete the Challenge Barcelona, an Ironman-distance triathlon, completely eco-friendly. The good news for Jon is that the XTERRA Vector Pro X2 wetsuit he chose to race in is not only one of the fastest wetsuits on the planet but it is also made out of LIMESTONE, which is more eco-friendly than a petroleum based product. You can follow Jon's green racing blog by clicking below. Good luck Jon!
The Eco Ironman

Three months, three disciplines, one mission... I'm competing in the Challenge Barcelona, an Ironman-distance triathlon, on October 4th. That's 3.8km swim, 180km bike, and a marathon (42.2km). Which is a long way. ...
We choose to use LIMESTONE instead of a petroleum based product in the core neoprene rubber of our wetsuits. Petroleum is made from oil, which is messy and much harder to clean after a spill than limestone. Oil spills regularly destroying entire ecosystems. Limestone-based rubber is 95% water impermeable, compared to 70% for the petroleum-based standard, so it also creates a better product.
The limestone in XTERRA WETSUITS actually came from rock originally situated (about 80 million years ago) in the present-day Hawaiian Islands - where the Kona Ironman World Championship is raced every October!
That’s why XTERRA WETSUITS are both fast and green.

2009 Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival Winner: Tony Delogne
A big winner at the 2009 Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival in Maine is none other than Tony Delogne. Yep, the same Tony Delogne that won the 2005 Ironman Lake Placid. Tony won both the sprint and the half Ironman distance races in South Berwick, Maine on Sept. 12-13 while wearing his XTERRA Vendetta wetsuit. Congrats Tony!

The Malibu Triathlon brought together Triathletes and Celebrities alike for a day of competition and fun on one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the world.
Teri Hatcher and her Daughter stand in honor of the National Anthem in her XTERRA Vortex 3 Sleeveless moments before she dives into the wash at the Malibu Triathlon. Wisteria Lane resident, Susan Mayer (Hatcher's character in Desperate Housewives) was one of only a few celebrities who finished all three legs of the race, coming in at 2:06:50.
Mario Lopez, of Saved By The Bell superstardom, sheds his XTERRA Vortex 3 wetsuit as he emerges from water at the Malibu Triathlon. Lopez, or A.C. Slater as we prefer to remember him by, finished in 20:03:17.
