As XTERRA WETSUITS most popular wetsuit, the Vortex 3 is the perfect combination of price, performance, flexibility and durability. There isn’t a race in North America where you won’t see a Vortex 3 swimming quickly through the water. Its traditional design is ideal for athletes who want an all-around wetsuit to use while training and racing.

The Vortex 3 has a durable 5mm front and 3mm back of Hyper-Flex GKA neoprene and the arms of the fullsuit have varying neoprene thickness for flexibility where needed. Our X-Max Seam Seal technology uses a triple layer of glue and double-blind stitching to ensure waterproof and long-lasting seams. The 2010 Vortex 3 line has a lower neck design for added comfort and increased durability to ensure that the wetsuit will stay intact for seasons.

For superb flexibility, the Vortex 3 utilizes a high quality X-Flex 4004 liner throughout the entire wetsuit, whereas most other mid-level wetsuits use a high quality liner only in the arms. The Vortex 3 is fully covered in X-Slice, a drag-reducing coating that translates to more speed in the water.

Update: the Vortex 3 Full and Sleeveless suits are entirely legal under the new USAT rules.

    Great fitting. I am not a great swimmer but this wetsuit helps me keep up with the fast swimmers. No restriction in the shoulders or neck. Awesome wetsuit!

    I swam competitively in high school, but this is my first competition wetsuit. I've done a number of Olympic triathlons in the past, and now that I own this wetsuit, I regret not buying one four years ago. I cannot believe how much faster I am in this wetsuit.

    The fit is great, the zipper is easy to use, and the shoulders do not get in the way of my swimming motion at all. I was very concerned about how restrictive a "full suit" would be, and this just isn't restrictive at all.

    I tried on several brands before I committed to the Vortex 3 Fullsuit. Other brands were either ill fitting and/or much more expensive. I find the VTX 3 to be very comfortable and the price can't be beat.
    I have swam my own life but never in a wetsuit, I can't wait for the first Tri of the year so I can slip into this baby and effortlessly glide through open water. The graphics are very cool too. I love this wetsuit already and I think I'll love it more while swimming in it. Thanks XTERRA, very nice job!

    I just raced in the Great Clermont Triathlon..water temp 65...this is my first suit and first time using it...it was amazing...comfortable..flexible..I was super impressed..I would absolutely recommend this to anyone..Thanks for the great customer service and quality..

    Just raced in the Oceanside tri with the Vortex 3 full suit. Awesome. Warm, great fitting, buoyant, and felt no limitations in arm or shoulder movement. Great wetsuit!

    I used the Vortex 3 suit for the first time this past weekend for the Nanticoke River Triathlon in Maryland.

    The water was in the mid 60's. I didn't even feel like I had a wetsuit on while I was swimming. Great suit.

    I got my new suit a few weeks ago, and raced in it this weekend. The fit is superb! I set a new pr, and I have never felt so comfortable and balanced in a swim. Awesome suit.

    My second wetsuit and in my primary half-Ironman I couldn't be happier. Great fit, easier off than on, but very comfortable throughout the swim.
    Just ordered the Volt for warmer waters.

    The Vortex 3 Fullsuit fits me better than any other wetsuit I’ve owned. The difference in this over the Blue Seventy Reaction is amazing. nNo arm restriction, thinner neoprene where it’s really required and easy to get out of after being in the water – I couldn’t be happier now. I’m not sure how you can produce the quality for such a low price. We could only buy very basic entry level suits for this price. I have a new suit that will hopefully last a few season’s...and just might make me a little quicker!
