Brayden Clews-Proctor
AustraliaBrayden Clews-Proctor started doing triathlons in Canberra, Australia at age eight and wore his XTERRA WETSUITS Volt triathlon wetsuit during the Australia National Schools Triathlon Championships in Adelaide, South Australia. He finished third in the 15-16 age group and is the top 15 year old triathlete in the country. Brayden’s weakest leg is the swim, but his swim at Nationals was the best he has ever had when he was 12th out. He is the first 15 year old to medal in this event in the past five years. In ninth grade, Brayden is 6’1” and weighs 140 pounds.
Brayden was born in Richmond, Virginia to an athletic family. His parents are former scholarship athletes in cross country and track and field at Virginia Commonwealth University, while his Aunt Gaylene Clews won the World Open Triathlon Championship in 1985. Brayden moved to Australia when he was only four months old.
Brayden’s triathlon goals are to represent Australia or the United States in the Olympics or other international draft-legal races. His favorite football team is the San Diego Chargers!
