      Great suit!

Bought for my 1st triathlon (70.3) in 30+ years. Bought med/large (I'm 5'11, 165 lbs) and it's a perfect fit... I'm a little broader through the chest so zipping up by myself can be a bit of a struggle but doable... once on it fits like a 2nd skin with plenty of flexibility in the arms, etc. I'm really happy with this suit!

      Amazing for 70.3 distance!

I am definitely out of the chart with my height at 6'7" and 192lbs but I imagined that the chart extended a little further and went for the XL to be safe. It is a little tight on my forearms due to my lengthy extremities but after a few arm swings, they slide into a comfortable position. Finding a good-fitting wetsuit at my height is difficult, but I am incredibly impressed with the Vortex full suit. I don't generally enjoy swimming with a wetsuit on because it feels like I would be restricted or slower. I used the suit for the first time on race day and finished the swim 5 minutes faster than my estimated time from training. When I was halfway through the swim I checked my watch and was shocked by my time and slowed down for the second half out of fear I was going too fast but looking back I could have easily kept up the pace. I fully believe that this faster time was due to the Vortex which feels so much smoother in the water than any other suit I have used. I would recommend this for a first-time triathlete to even an experienced racer.

      First Wetsuit Ever

I've been training for my very first triathlon and was very scared for my swim training as I don't know how to swim very well. I live in San Antonio, TX and even though it's hot more days than cold, it still seemed useful to buy a wetsuit and I definitely don't regret it. Being 4'9" I'm usually on the smaller side of everything so was afraid it was going to be too big. However the chart works very accurately and a Small was just right. The legs and arms fit almost exact. I'm guessing someone taller might have their ankles showing a bit more but for me I appreciate the extra length. Works incredible in the water and would definitely not survive the open swim without it! But the water has been so cold lately that I recommend getting wet socks as well since my poor feet were freezing. Flexibility is amazing. And even for a beginner like me I feel very buoyant in the water. My only complaint would be that as soon as I tried it on the first time without even going in the water yet there was already a tear starting to appear. Thankfully it comes with a glue package and was able to fix quickly. However for the first time I didn't expect it to tear that quickly which just shows how delicate and careful you need to be.

      Great First Swim!

First time wearing a wetsuit for an open water swim and it was great! I had a number of people recommend Xterra to me and I will be recommending them to others.
