What a difference a good suit makes!

Today was the first time wearing my Vortex. It fit me perfectly, and kept me very comfortable during my swim. Air temp was 34, and the water temp was 48. I was impressed with the mobility in my shoulders, and with the ease of putting on and taking off my suit. I am 5’5” and 140 lbs. the Medium Large fits perfectly for me, just as the sizing chart suggested.

First Tri was a success with Xterra Vortex

Completed my first Tri on Aug 28 in Chicago. Used the Xterra Vortex during the swim and it was a big success. Fit was excellent - I'm 6'2" 187 lbs and the XL fit perfectly. Performance was great in some cool Lake Michigan water. Just the right amount of extra buoyancy helped me complete the swim portion with no issues and a great personal time while passing multiple racers. I highly recommend this product.

      Xterra Vortex, Sleeveless

Yesterday I did my first open water swim in this suit. It is excellent! I prefer sleeveless design for shoulder mobility, and though this type of suit is not as warm as a full suit, the tradeoff is worth it for me. Very little water exchange, as the suit fits skin-tight at neck, chest, and shoulders. I also like the buoyancy the suit provides through the hips and legs. First take: this suit will be great for cold water training in ocean and lakes.
