I’m 5’4” 140lbs. The Roka was too tight on my shoulders so I bought this one in small. It fits perfect. It material seems to be tougher then roka. Much cheaper as well. I plan on sticking with xterra.
I've done a few miles in the ocean so far - the size chart had me on the edge of Small and Medium. I knew from a previous purchase that I should size up and went "medium" (I'm 5'8" 144lb) and that turned out to be perfect. The fit is great, I can get in/out quickly for races, it keeps the water out. I like the leg cut, it really helps entry/exit, and it doesn't change the body positioning in the water like I feared. Like the green look! I don't look like a seal to the sharks. The durability of the surface is better than an earlier purchase (which ended up with lots of finger-caused craters). Flexible but tougher. 3/2 mm is the right thicknesses for this purpose, for me.
This is my second wetsuit and I am very happy with it. It has let me start swimming early in the season in our deep water central Ontario lake. I was at the top end of the medium size (5'7", 138 lbs.) and am glad I ordered the medium large. Initially, it was very tight in the neck but once I was in the water and started swimming, it didn't feel tight. Now after 4-5 swims, it doesn't feel quite as tight but still snug.
I initially ordered the Medium based on the size chart but it was way too tight for my build. I am 5'10" 160 lbs, broad shoulders and chest. I returned and ordered a Medium/Large and it fits much better. Skin tight most everywhere with just a few areas around armpits that are a little loose. My main worry was mobility and the M/L is great. Have done 2 Open water swims now - water temp 55-60 and stayed comfortable and warm for 2400 yds. Can recommend highly and hope the material endures.
