Size Small/ Medium < 22"

Size Medium/ Large 22"- 23"

To put on a swim cap, follow these steps:

  1. Start by holding the swim cap in your hand, with the inside of the cap facing outwards.
  2. Place the swim cap on your head, pulling it down over your forehead and ears.
  3. Use your fingers to smooth out any wrinkles or creases in the cap, making sure it is fitted securely on your head.
  4. Adjust the swim cap as needed to ensure it is snug but not too tight.
  5. If you have long hair, gather it into a ponytail or bun and tuck it under the swim cap before adjusting the cap into place.

It's important to make sure that your swim cap fits properly and is not too tight. A tight-fitting swim cap can cause pressure on your head or ears, and can be uncomfortable to wear. Bear in mind that some water will get into your cap so it will expand about a half-size once you are in the water; e.g. snug but not too tight Adjust the swim cap as needed to ensure it fits snugly but not too tightly on your head. Finally, put the strap underneath your neck and attach the Velcro.

    Great cap

The cap definitely keeps my head warm and actually my hair stays pretty dry! I was worried about the chin strap making me nervous or impeding my breathing but I didn’t notice the strap or the cap at all once in the water. Love that it covers my ears as well. I was hoping it would help me avoid brain freeze but that must get triggered by my face exposure. I love all xterra products. I have their goggles, wet suits and gloves as well. Keeps me in the water all year long.

    Life Saver Cap

I have been swimming at Jacksonville Pier June 2020, missing only 3 weeks for Melanoma surgery after 114 days in row. I have endured cannon ball jellies, box and Portuguese,, but the cold has been getting to me. Swimming In San Francisco Bay I had a neoprene cap, but moving east I gave it to another swimmer. Today was my first day with my new XTERRA CAP and my swim was wonderful. 2 miles of bliss. Looking forward to my weekend swim of 2 - 2 mile swims back to back. I have ordered 2 more caps for my friends to enjoy their swims keeping their head and ears warm.

    Great cap

Works great! Used in open water swims in May - chilly! Face was cold but head was warm. Covers ears great - velcro strap adjustable to get right fit - doesn't choke or chafe in the neck area - perfect! And you look like a WWII pilot! ;)
